IDOM has been present in Portugal since 1993 and currently has a permanent team of engineers, architects and consultants who have extensive experience in project and construction management in projects of varied complexities and sizes.
IDOM's permanent concern with proximity to the Client and a suitable response to the Client's needs has led to the decentralisation of its activities, providing services through the Lisbon office.
In Portugal, IDOM has national teams in almost all the technical divisions, such as architecture and building, industrial and civil engineering, energy, telecommunications, environmental engineering and consulting and operational logistics.

Revamping of berths A, B and C of the Petroleum Terminal of Petrogal, in the Port of Leixões in Portugal. IDOM Portugal has developed the Detail Engineering of the civil works, structures, equipment, piping, electricity and instrumentation, in collaboration with ILF - Munich, author of Basic Engineering.
This project got the first place in a public competition promoted by the Ministry of Health, and marks the appearance of a pioneering hospital typology in Portugal: the Hospital of Proximity. This unit counts on diverse specialties of consultations, qualified basic urgency, day unit, mental health unit, service of physical medicine and rehabilitation, making use of complementary means of diagnosis and ambulatory surgery and 60 beds of internment. IDOM developed in full the projects of Architecture and Specialties of this New Hospital.
Lidador Hospital, Maia
Ikea Amadora Store
To be raised in Maia, this private unit will be made through a partnership between the City Council, the “Santa Casa de Misericórdia da Maia” and the “Grupo Português de Saúde”. A private hospital, original in the North of the country, with one strong component of clinic, including 64 beds of internment, supported by a cirurgical block with 4 rooms, a center of medical imaging, a center of physical medicine and rehabilitation including swimming-pools for hydrotherapies and a vast area destined to the external consultations and complementary examinations. IDOM developed in full the projects of Architecture and Specialties of this New Hospital.
Based on the functional principles defined by IKEA and the architectural design by the Poch, Moliner and Partners Architects office, IDOM carried out the Project Management, prepared the architectural and engineering designs for the permits and construction, as well as the overall management and control of the project
