Mahou Factory in Alovera (Guadalajara)

GIS for Suburban Renfe

For almost a decade IDOM has worked together with Mahou on the design of the project, construction and installation of the new facilities.

Preparation of a Geographic Information System (GIS) to calculate business variables such as number of passengers, frequency of breakdowns, underused and overused lines, etc.

Rehabilitation of the Valdemingómez landfill

Distribution of drinking water within the Community

The landfill was closed in 2000, and IDOM has conributed to its environmental rehabilitation through sealing, degasification, energy valuation and landscape rehabilitation.

IDOM has prepared the construction design of the Second Principal Distribution Ring in Madrid, which will carry pressurised water from the two large reservoirs at Colmenar Viejo and Valmayor to the required zones in the metropolitan centre of the city.

Runway 18L-36R and airport systems

Interchanger in Príncipe Pío

Assistance for the construction supervision of the new runway 18L-36R, and associated surfaces at Barajas Airport.

Expansion of Atocha station

Rehabilitation of the Alcalá 16, BBVA Building

The focus of this study goes beyond the mere expansion of the AVE (High Speed) station in Atocha, concentrating also on the new possibilities arising in the city as a result of this project, which will transform the South area of Madrid.

Tasks undertaken:
-Feasibility station for the AVE Station.
-Expansion Design.

The building, owned by the BBVA, was built in the 20s in accordance with the original design by Ricardo Bastida. Changes were made to adapt to organisational needs.
Awarded the XVII 2003 Prize by the Madrid City Council.

Tasks undertaken:
-Overall preparation of the architectural and engineering designs.
-Supervision and management of the construction.

Príncipe Pío Leisure, Culture and Commercial Centre

"Movie World" Theme Park

The project is of special cultural interest for having established a unifying dialogue with the old station and due to the technical difficulties that needed to be solved arising from its proximity to the suburban train station and metro stop.

Architectural Supervision and preparation of the detailed designs of the buildings and installations and the Technical Direction and Site Supervision during construction.

New Vallecas Hospital

Engineering for Airbus

Construction Design and site supervision of the new hospital in Vallecas, instigated by the Community of Madrid. Tasks undertaken: Engineering and works supervision of structures and installations.

IDOM has worked for Airbus at the Puerto Real and Getafe factories. It is currently carrying out the expansion of the Illescas to build parts in carbon fibre for the A380, A400M and A350 airplanes.

"Las Tablas" light railway

Operations and logistics consulting

Among others, IDOM has carried out the supervision and control of the works for the new light railway line Pinar de Chamartín - Sanchinarro - Las Tablas (pictured).

Productivity improvement in the factory and process re-engineering for Saint-Gobain Vicasa. IDOM undertook operations Outsourcing studies, information systems implementation and design of logistics networks.
