Refurbishment of the BBVA building in Madrid

The Southwark Council held an ideas competition for the design of a residential building on a site in Bermondsey, to the south of London.
The IDOM proposal won the long drawn out competition which included the participation of local residents.

The building was built in the nineteen twenties and its continuous adaptation to the immediate needs gave raise to a conglomerate which lacked functionality. IDOM proposed a number of radical changes to facilitate an understanding of the building.

Facilities for Habitat Inmobiliaria

New Euskotren headquarters in Durango

The real estate company Habitat entrusted IDOM with the preliminary design, detailed design and Site Supervision of installations for a business centre in Barcelona, a complex of 6 office buildings.
Arata Isozaki and FOA Architects Ltd. were concept designers.

Zaha Hadid Architects, with its headquarters in London, is currently undertaking various projects in which IDOM is collaborating, such as the urban layout of Zorrozaurre in Bilbao, the New Euskotren Headquarters in Durango and the Bridge pavilion for the 2008 Expo in Zaragoza.
